**This compressed folder contains the matlab scripts for the Paper: Gene Amplification as a Form of Population-Level Gene Expression regulation.** **They contain the mathematical model and the analysis of microfluidics data. There are 4 main scripts: i) computeSteadyStateResponse.m which computes the steady state response for either deterministic or stochastic environments (in Fig. 5b-c). ii) Kymograph_Analysis_Multiple_Locations_ToShare.m does the analysis for the microfluidics data (as described in Methods) iii) Colonypie.m plots the pie charts (in Fig. S5c). iv) TimeSeriesStatesKymographFigure.m plots the time trajectories of the CPF, mCherry, and their ratios for all microfluidics channels (such as examples given in Fig. 3c) In addition, there are the files containing the microfluidics time trace raw data in the .tif format. They can also be opened by a program like ImageJ/Fiji for visual inspection ("IT040_170614_S7_R_CFP.tif", etc.)
