Here, the structure of this sequence is reported at the significantly higher resolution of 1.6 Å, which is the highest resolution reported for a four-way junction. This allowed the unambiguous identification of an extensive hydration network with distinct patterns and solvent-mediated interactions that shed new light on the role of water in the formation and stabilization of junction structures."}],"status":"public","date_published":"2012-10-01T00:00:00Z","extern":"1","issue":"10","title":"Structure of d(CCGGGACCGG)4 as a four-way junction at 1.6 Å resolution: New insights into solvent interactions","publisher":"International Union of Crystallography","month":"10","article_type":"original","author":[{"last_name":"Chakraborty","first_name":"Arka","full_name":"Chakraborty, Arka"},{"last_name":"Mandal","id":"6a3def15-d4b4-11ef-9fa9-a24c1f545ec3","first_name":"Pradeep K","orcid":"0000-0001-5996-956X","full_name":"Mandal, Pradeep K"},{"last_name":"Gautham","full_name":"Gautham, Namasivayam","first_name":"Namasivayam"}],"oa_version":"None","article_processing_charge":"No","_id":"21154","date_created":"2026-02-06T12:19:40Z","intvolume":" 68","type":"journal_article","publication":"Acta Crystallographica Section F Structural Biology Communications","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"doi":"10.1107/s1744309112034926","publication_identifier":{"issn":["1744-3091"]},"page":"1169-1174","year":"2012","user_id":"2DF688A6-F248-11E8-B48F-1D18A9856A87","day":"01","publication_status":"published","OA_type":"closed access"}
