The user’s desktop is continuously\nmonitored and of each detected document a high\nresolution snapshot is taken using a digital camera. The\nresulting image is processed using specially designed dewarping\nand OCR algorithms, making a digital and fully\nsearchable version of the document available to the user in\nreal-time. These steps are performed without any user interaction.\nThis enables the system to run as a background\ntask without disturbing the user in her work, while at the\nsame time offering electronic access to all paper documents\nthat have been present on the desktop during the uptime of\nthe system."}],"month":"08"}
