Each atom is a location is space and a quantitative expression of influence on the immediate surrounding. This paper surveys the basic types of space filling diagrams with a focus on the dual alpha shape. Properties of those diagrams that relate to questions of connectivity, size, shape and symmetry, and metamorphosis are discussed."}],"date_created":"2018-12-11T12:06:28Z","author":[{"last_name":"Edelsbrunner","full_name":"Edelsbrunner, Herbert","first_name":"Herbert","id":"3FB178DA-F248-11E8-B48F-1D18A9856A87","orcid":"0000-0002-9823-6833"}],"oa_version":"None","article_processing_charge":"No","extern":"1","publication_status":"published","user_id":"ea97e931-d5af-11eb-85d4-e6957dddbf17","publisher":"AK Peters","month":"10","page":"265 - 277","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"title":"Geometry for modeling biomolecules","publist_id":"2108"}
