--- res: bibo_abstract: - We demonstrate an optical switch design that can scale up to a thousand ports with high per-port bandwidth (25 Gbps+) and low switching latency (40 ns). Our design uses a broadcast and select architecture, based on a passive star coupler and fast tunable transceivers. In addition we employ time division multiplexing to achieve very low switching latency. Our demo shows the feasibility of the switch data plane using a small testbed, comprising two transmitters and a receiver, connected through a star coupler.@eng bibo_authorlist: - foaf_Person: foaf_givenName: Dan-Adrian foaf_name: Alistarh, Dan-Adrian foaf_surname: Alistarh foaf_workInfoHomepage: http://www.librecat.org/personId=4A899BFC-F248-11E8-B48F-1D18A9856A87 orcid: 0000-0003-3650-940X - foaf_Person: foaf_givenName: Hitesh foaf_name: Ballani, Hitesh foaf_surname: Ballani - foaf_Person: foaf_givenName: Paolo foaf_name: Costa, Paolo foaf_surname: Costa - foaf_Person: foaf_givenName: Adam foaf_name: Funnell, Adam foaf_surname: Funnell - foaf_Person: foaf_givenName: Joshua foaf_name: Benjamin, Joshua foaf_surname: Benjamin - foaf_Person: foaf_givenName: Philip foaf_name: Watts, Philip foaf_surname: Watts - foaf_Person: foaf_givenName: Benn foaf_name: Thomsen, Benn foaf_surname: Thomsen bibo_doi: 10.1145/2785956.2790035 dct_date: 2015^xs_gYear dct_isPartOf: - http://id.crossref.org/issn/978-1-4503-3542-3 dct_language: eng dct_publisher: ACM@ dct_title: A high-radix, low-latency optical switch for data centers@ ...
