Abstract
Active dendrites enrich the repertoire of single-neuron computations. Whereas a lot is known about the function of dendrites in vitro, information about their in vivo properties is limited. A new study1 uses advanced imaging to study hippocampal CA1 pyramidal neuron dendrites in head-fixed, awake animals.
