Abstract
<p>A cascade Suzuki–Miyaura cross-coupling between two non-symmetrical coupling partners gave rise to 9,10-dihydrophenanthrenes with full site-selectivity. The choice of base was critical to facilitate the challenging coupling of the secondary boronate group.</p>
